North Carolina

For the fourth of July we decided to go to Asheville, North Carolina. Andrew dreams of retiring here but had never been--so we decided to visit. His mom and brother were able to join us and we had a really great time!

The Biltmore Estate - largest home in America, the house alone covers 4 acres

Keegan gave it a shot too... :)

Keegan enjoyed the petting zoo and although he can say many animal sounds, this trip helped him learn what sheep say after he heard one say "baa" :)

Keegan loved the lions and was way more interested in them than the big ol' boring house

We stayed one day in Asheville, NC and two days in a mountain cabin in Chimney Rock, NC. Keegan loved the backpack carrier at first but then decided he'd rather have Mommy carry him in it as I hiked up Chimney Rock--seriously, Keegan??

Leslie, Erika, and Keegan decided to head back to the car after the strenuous hike in the heat but Andrew and Scott continued on to Devil's Head

Sliding Rock in Brevard, NC--this is just the line for it!

The trip was a lot of fun and the cabin we stayed in was so very nice that we've decided to make the trip a tradition but perhaps in another location. We wish we could've stayed longer but after such an eventful month it is nice to be home for at least a little while! :)

That looks like it was an awesome trip. It makes me wish that NC was much closer to Arkansas! I'm glad you guys were able to go on a little vacation.
