The drive down was long and tiring...as you can see. Keegan rode down with Grammie & Grandpa so it was just the four of us on the way.
Our first visit was to see Andrew's Aunt Barbara in Ogden, Utah. His Aunt Ruthann and Uncle Dave came with some of their kids as well.
On the 4th of July we got to go to Hunstville, Utah to see the Becksteads (Andrew's college roommate, Mike and his family). We got to see a parade and then spent the rest of the day going down this fun inflatable slide.
We then headed back to my sister, Brandie's house in Cedar Hills, Utah for fireworks.
And Brandie even did some haircuts on both me and my mom.
The next day we headed to Moab, Utah to see Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. Our family stopped first at Canyonlands before heading to our camping cabin at the local KOA just outside Moab city limits.
We started our first hike around 2pm. It was 90-100 degrees outside so the kids were pretty thirsty....
But we made it and went for another short hike!
In the evening Andrew and I hiked to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park so that we could see it at sunset. It was MUCH cooler then and so beautiful.
The following day all of us (my parents and Brandie's family) headed into Arches National Park. A lot of the scenery can be seen driving. Since it was so hot and our age groups varied we did a lot of touring in the car. But we did get out for a few hikes.
The kids loved climbing and even Makayla was quite the trooper. Next time we'll pack appropriate footwear for her. :)

The cousins loved playing together at the camping cabin. Natalie was the designated leader of lizard finding. The lizards reminded me of Florida.
Grammie and Grandpa hadn't seen Canyonlands and didn't know if they would so we headed back for a few more hikes there. These pictures are taken from crevices along side a steep cliffside. The were pantries used by the people who lived here hundreds of years ago. It's hard to tell how steep it was from these pictures but it was harrowing to climb and descend.
All this traveling is tiring business!
On our second to last day of the trip we headed to Provo, Utah to relive the days where we first met. It started with a hike of Y mountain. Keegan did pretty good and made it all the way to the top. He was pretty exhausted by the end of it though. (Tanner and Makayla stayed with Grammie and Grandpa)
This is the old Provo Tabernacle where Andrew's school graduation took place. After it was destroyed in a fire it was rebuilt as the Provo City Temple making it the second temple in Provo.
After Provo we headed to Delta, Utah to meet up with the Lakes who we met while living in Florida. They were kind enough to take us out on their boat. We had been wanting to do this with our kids for a while but don't have a boat. It was the kids first experience tubing and they all loved it.

Our last day was spent in Salt Lake City, Utah at Temple Square. We wanted to show the kids where Andrew proposed and where we were married.
We also got to have a BBQ at Andrew's Grandma Brown's house with some of Andrew's cousins.
And to wrap it all up we celebrated Brandie's upcoming birthday with a chocolate cake from Costco.
It was a wonderful trip and a great time to spend with so many family and friends.
